Quarantine Day 64. Oh god. On Monday, I mentioned that my project onboarded two more private beta customers. Then I mentioned yesterday that a lot of meetings happened.
What I didn’t mention was that, after both customers were onboarded, both encountered problems. My broader team decided that one problem would be best solved in the code that I own. The other problem involved at least two previously known potential bugs. These would also have to be solved in the code I own.
Though I listed a whole bunch of meetings I attended yesterday, I actually skipped a couple to get work done on these bugs.
Today was the same. Mo’ meetings, mo’ bug squashing work.
By the end I pushed out fixes. But by the time I was satisfied, it was almost 10PM. It’s been a while since I’ve worked from 8AM to 10PM. Reminds me of the old days when I was both in school, and working at a research lab (except some nights I’d actually work late enough to sleep at lab).
Around 10PM, I went out for a run. I didn’t feel like going out the door, but fuck it, I hadn’t gone outside all day. Not sure if I like this kind of motivation.
