First race in 20-degree F weather, and on somewhat icy/snowy road. “THERE IS ICE.” — today’s Race Director.
Didn’t think I’d have a chance to crack even the top 5 given last year’s results at this New Years race. Also didn’t think I was going to remotely get anywhere near my time last week. So I’m really quite happy with my performance, the fact that I came out to race today, and the Starbucks gift card I got for finishing in 3rd!!!
